Purpose
La società ha per scopo il miglioramento del trattamento e la cura degli uomini con cancro alla prostata (Advanced Prostate Cancer) su base scientifica senza scopo di lucro. A tal fine, la Società intraprende in particolare quanto segue: organizzare congressi sul cancro alla prostata avanzato (Advanced Prostate Consensus Conference / APCCC) in cui vengono sviluppate raccomandazioni condivise sulla gestione degli uomini con cancro alla prostata avanzato; organizzare forum di discussione scientifica per medici, scienziati e altri operatori sanitari specializzati nel campo del cancro alla prostata; promuovere lo scopo della società attraverso altre misure, compresa l'elaborazione di linee guida; ottenere le risorse necessarie per raggiungere l'obiettivo della società. La Società può aderire e mantenere relazioni con altre organizzazioni in patria e all'estero che perseguono lo stesso o simile scopo.
