Zweck der Gerätegenossenschaft ist die Anschaffung landwirtschaftlicher, praktischer und nützlicher Maschinen und Geräte zur Ausleihung gegen günstige Entschädigung an Mitglieder und gegebenenfalls auch Nichtmitglieder. Die Gerätegenossenschaft beschränkt ihre Tätigkeit hauptsächlich auf das Gebiet der Gemeinde Wil und angrenzende Gemeinden.
